Diddy's New Years Eve Bash
Posted in: Celebrity News

Hip-hop mogul Diddy’s scheduled New Year’s Eve party tonight (December 31) in Florida has reportedly forced the entire University of Cincinnati football team to change hotels.
According to NBC’s local WLWT station, the Bad Boy CEO’s evening event at Miami’s Fontainebleau hotel venue with Maroon 5‘s Adam Levine has made the University of Cincinnati’s coach move his team to a new location.
Coach Brian Kelly‘s squad faces Virginia Tech tomorrow (January 1) in the Orange Bowl and has said the move is to help lessen the chances of any distractions.
In related news, Diddy will help treat New York City people to free cab service this evening by having a street team of workers passing out taxi service cards. Teaming up with Taxi & Limousine Commission plus E! Entertainment, the superstar’s aim is safety and fun, according to New York’s Daily News.
“New York is the world’s iconic New Year’s Eve city,” Diddy told Daily News. “So let’s lead by example and show everyone that a sophisticated holiday celebration doesn’t just end when the ball drops, but when everyone gets home safely.”

Jay-Z and his real estate partner Charles Blaichman are not immune to economic woes as their $66 million New York City hotel project has been put on hold for lack of funding.
According to a recent New York Times report, somewhere around $5 billion in New York City projects have been put on hold or pushed back due to the current money squeeze.
Blaichman, most known for his developments in lower Manhattan, is having trouble financing a pair of hotel projects including West Village’s Perry Street Hotel and West Chelsea’s J Hotels, which was a partnership he made with the hip-hop mogul last year.
“It’s one of the greatest stretches of undeveloped areas,” Blaichman told the Times. “I still think it’s going to take off.”However, with the recent financial crisis across the nation, Blaichman continues to search for an funds to complete the project.
As SOHH previously reported, Jay-Z invested in the former Time Warner Cable warehouse to create J Hotels in the West Chelsea area. Teaming with partners Blaichman, Abram Shnay and Scott Shnay, they reportedly shelled out around $66 million for the area which included the mid-block parcel and air rights

Beyonce Knowles has infuriated Janet Jackson – by suggesting her family is lower class. The former Destiny’s Child singer said in a recent interview, “I grew up upper class. Private school. My dad had a Jaguar. We’re African-American and we work together as a family, so people assume we’re like The Jacksons.
“But I didn’t have parents using me to get out of a bad situation.” Knowles’ comments were not welcome – and Janet now plans to confront her R&B rival.
A source tells the National Enquirer magazine, “Beyonce’s remark came out of left field and really stung Janet. She blew up. “Yes, Janet and the Jackson family came from Gary, Indiana, and there was a time they barely squeaked by. But Janet has many loving memories and is incensed that Beyonce would make a crack like that.
“Janet wanted to know why Beyonce had to mention her family. They’re not friends and barely know each other. She feels Beyonce went out of her way to tell the world she’s from the upper class and the Jacksons were like a bunch of dirty gutter rats. “Janet is proud of her family and how they came from nothing and became superstars.
“Not only is Janet telling everyone who will listen that Beyonce has a lot of growing up to do and that she needs to stop trying to impress everyone, she’s planning to confront Beyonce herself and read her the riot act.”
