Designer Alexandros Stasinopoulos decided that there needs to be a new and unique way to tell time, so he constructed the “Ora” wristwatch concept. The concept has a heavy emphasis on haute horlogerie. What that means exactly is that the “Ora” is designed with superior craftsmanship, technicity and originality to transcend every other segment of watch on the market regardless of brand, status or price. It focuses on the intricacy and prestige of fine watch making and embraces complexity and diversity on materials and methods used to deliver the time correctly. The time is delivered via three separate, but seemingly cohesive, tapes; one displaying the hour, one displaying the minute and one displaying the day. The shape of the watch is a direct result of an “inside-out” designing approach where the moving parts dictated the overall form of the timepiece’s outer shell. Check out Alexandros’s portfolio here. An ode to the famous painting by the great Andy Warhol of Marilyn Monroe are the new iteration of the Nike Air Max 90’s. A special edition, made with a womenly bias, the Monroe Air Max 90’s are certainly a colorful shoe boasting the Warhol painting in vibrant colors around the entire midsole aganist the white body of the sneaker. The black laces and mesh portions of the sneaker provide a good, stark contrast to make the painting pop. Certainly a unique new spin on a timeless classic. Source

Champagne makers Piper Heidsieck have worked with master shoe maker Christian Louboutin in a box set. The set consists of a bottle of champagne and a glass shoe designed by Christian Louboutin. The box set was inspired by a ritual from the 1880’s and will be exclusively available through colette from October 26th.

Once again Reebok and Mita Sneakers worked on a collaborative sneaker. This time they chose the Ex-O-Fit Hi S.G. Strap. As played out as the red/green Gucci inspired theme might be, we believe Mita Sneakers did some good material choice on these, using oestrich leather, perforated leather and canvas on the upper. The straps come in exotic leather and the white contrasting piping sets some nice accents. The sneaker will be released on October 3rd.
