    In Japan’s ultra conformist society, any deviation, no matter how minor or slight, is ofter viewed with unwarranted amazement and attention.  So imagine the reaction of parents if you geared up your kids in these leather backpack by Hysteric Glamour?!?!?

    To expand on its punk/hard rock design theme, the label procured actual standard issue backpack for all elementary school students in Japan.  Next, an exhaustive process of etching and stamping motifs of Hysteric Glamour, along with graphics from its children’s line, Hysteric Mini.  Punk studs and rivets were pierced in while customized lining were applied on the interior. Comes with all the regulated essentials, including a yellow, high visibility sheath for safety.  In all, this is a fully functional and school approved backpack. The conversation it will create around the teacher’s lounge or PTA meeting is another story.

    The Hysteric Glamour – Hysteric Mini Leather Elementary School Backpack comes in the traditional black and red coloways, along with natural leather.  All will be available in March 2010, but Hysteric Mini online store in ZOZO shopping network is currently taking pre-release orders.

    McFANCY!!

    Access is hard at work creating ideas and concepts for some high profile brands. For McDonald’s, they haved envisioned a cool, surprising and fun mix of concepts. First is McFancy, an upmarket temporary McDonald’s store that launches at Fashion Weeks around the globe — London, New York, Paris, Milan, Sydney, Hong Kong. McFancy is part art installation, gathering spot and, of course, a restaurant that offers a traditional McDonald’s menu but packaged in a way that makes a playful yet stylish nod to the lifestyle of the highly desirable, influential consumers that attend Fashion Weeks.
