I attended Sneaker Pimps LA at The Music Box in Hollywood and let’s just say it was Hip Hop to the fullest!!  The music was predominantly from the 90′s having you reminisce on the good old days of hip hop straight from the East Coast, Mid-West, Down-South and West Coast.  The sneaker displays housed dominant brands such as Nike and Adidas, showing late and recent designs that correlate to hip hop style.  There was an artist on-site painting sneakers as there were also displays of embellished sneakers with added artistic expression.  NBA Jam Stations in classic arcade style were in the corridors for people to play, creating even more engagement from the crowd.  The crowd was mixed in age and ethnicities showing love for hip hop, it was great!  The tour is also known for the performing artist line-up of which talented rappers rocked the mic to lead up to the headliner Travis Barker & The Cool Kids.  As you can imagine, when Travis Barker & The Cool Kids hit the stage, the crowd went wild!  Hands were moving up and down across the room!  And the base was thumping throughout all of the performances making the music hit you hard; you couldn’t do nothing but rock out!  Overall The Music Box was a great venue to host the event and accomplished creating an ambiance of Hip Hop through various artistic forms.  Check DrinkBlackWater out at the next Sneaker Pimps event…next up, Chi-town!!
