G.O.O.D. Music singer-songwriter — and Kanye West‘s cousin — The World Famous Tony Williams has just dropped a new project. The prequel to his forthcoming studio album, The 7th Day is a lean EP that is comprised of four records, including collaborations with Pharoahe Monch, CyHi the Prynce, Raheem DeVaughn and others. Tony Williams’ superstar cousin and label boss makes an appearance on “Another You,” which originally surfaced several years ago back in 2012. Production on The 7th Day is primarily provided by the pairing of No I.D. and Bink!; both artists have stayed busy this year, making their marks on new releases from JAY-Z and Rick Ross. Besides this effort, Williams also plans to drop a new 7th Day visual in the very near future. In a statement, Tony Williams had the following to say regarding his new EP:

“I’ve often pondered if it was an obvious breach between old school and the new generation or if we’re merely a broad line of demarcation. Whatever it is, I’ve always felt I was the bridge that brought them together. Who else would put CyHi over “folk/rock”, bring Stokley and Raheem Devaughn together over a No I.D. beat or pair Pharoahe Monch with the newest of new m.c.’s (Bobby Sessions) over a distorted guitar. Hopefully, this project will engage some new ears from both generations.”
