The Ramifications of One Night Stands: Can it lead to a relationship?
I believe we need to change the way we think about one night stands. Usually when you hear a couple talk about “how we met “, chances are they don’t start with one too many drinks at a bar and end with a one night stand. That might be true, but one night stands carry a huge stigma. One night stand long term relationships happens more than we realize. Not many people want to admit that.
The Real Shit!
Let’s talk about the people who have sleazy meetings people have, that they never tell a single soul, but the person they are doing the meetings with. We have this distorted view on how a decent relationship must start. I think what comes to mind to most people is that you had a one stand and people think negatively about it. Like, “I couldn’t date this person. We had a one night stand and no decent relationship can grow from a one night stand”. That’s just how today’s world thinks.
In reality, a relationship not being able to blossom from a one night stand is completely untrue! Decent relationships grow out of one night stands all of the time. First off, a one night stand is NEVER a strictly casual encounter. Casual sex isn’t casual unless you are just overly drunk and you just don’t remember it. Energy, the way your brain operates, and your sexual vibe is what makes a person feel attached to someone. Any stimulation of the sexual body drives up the dopamine system and activates the nerve cells. This can push you over the threshold into falling in love.
Then there comes an orgasm, the real deal, the real flood of oxytocin which gives you the feeling of deep attachment. When you have deep attachment, feelings are unlocked. You develop deep vibes with that person, and how deep the energy flows through you and your partners electric waves .
The end of the story…
Not all long lasting relationships have innocent cute little stories about how they met. I mean, there a lot of one night stands that’s been going strong for years. One night stands aren’t all that bad. You just might meet your future husband or wife, you never know.
