Launching for the autumn/winter 2011 season, a sneak preview of the collection reveals something for every modern man: from chunky, black leather biker boots (a sell-out success over in the women’s department) to classic, leather loafers and on-trend Chelsea boots.

The collection also includes high-top cashmere trainers, which will be available in animal prints such as leopard and zebra; and for the man who has everything, a pair of gentleman’s ‘evening slippers’, available in a velvet jacquard ‘Porno Paisley’ print, or for those with a sense of humour, in black glittery fabric.

“My vision of the Jimmy Choo man is one who exudes confidence and style whether he is an artist or an investment banker” says Tamara Mellon , founder and chief creative officer of the brand. “The first thing I look at on a man is his shoes” she reveals.

Jimmy Choo has been transforming and elevating the footwear industry since its arrival on the scene a decade-and-a-half ago. This year marks the brand’s 15th Anniversary and to celebrate Tamara Mellon has launched the Crystal Anniversary Collection. Since the traditional gift for the milestone is crystal, it’s only fitting then part of the Cruise 2011 collection would feature a range of sparkling stunners.  Standouts include the signature jeweled shoes that helped propel Jimmy Choo into the style spotlight.

Mellon captured the essence of the momentous occasion by collaborating with the talented Marilyn Minter on the Cruise 11 advertising campaign. Together they created striking imagery that is sure to make an impression.
