Jordan Brand’s 2011 has been a mix of old and new colorways for a variety of different retroes. On this new makeup of the Air Jordan V (5) they are making a new classic with tie ins to many models. Wolf Grey used on nearly the whole shoe in nubuck on the upper portions. Small hints of White are used to accent detailing like the 23 and midsole strakes. All while sitting on a the very popular and more often used Blue translucent outsole, like seen on the Air Jordan XI (11). This version of the AJ5 is not set to hit retailers until May 14th but if you can’t wait head over to MarqueeSole to try and snag a pair early.

This year’s signature Air Jordan sneaker features an interchangeable insole system, and Nike roped in comedian Kevin Hart to break down how it works. Basically the blue sole unit features Zoom Air for “quick” players, while the red one employs Encapsulated Air that is suited for “explosive” type of players. Expect the Air Jordan 2011 to be available in stores soon.

The 26th pair of Jordan sneakers – the Air Jordan 2011 pictured above hits the streets on February 19th with a pricetag of $170 dollars.  Michael Jordan had this to say about the new design:

Each year I challenge the Brand to push the envelope in all aspects of the creative process including design, technology and the overall performance of the shoe. The Air Jordan 2011 is representative of where we are headed as a Brand in 2011 and beyond. With each passing year Jordan Brand will look to challenge the way the footwear industry and consumers think about performance, and consistently look to improve upon where we have already been.”
