Well after a massive advertising and promotional blitz for her new album Born This Way – we are not surprised that Lady Gaga sold a whopping 1.1 Million copies its first week in stores making it the #1 album on the Billboard 200 chart according to Hits Daily Double.  The huge sales make the album the fastest selling platinum album of the year to date.

Proceeds from Lady Gaga’s June 2011 V magazine covers will benefit Japanese tsunami relief efforts.
