Shifting gears again in attempt to cater to his early fanbase, Khalifa advances his newest mixtape, Taylor Allderdice. Pittsburgh MC Wiz Khalifa finally revealed the name of his new album on Ustream. “The official release date for the Wiz Khalifa album is March 29,” said the rapper. “The name of the album is Rolling Papers.”
Wiz continued to discuss the name of his upcoming Atlantic Records album. “It’s an appropriate title. It’s called Rolling Papers, like the papers that you roll, the papers that I roll, the papers that we smoke. But it’s deeper than that too. I thought of this before I even started recording the album and before it was a full idea. It’s not just about the weed thing. It’s bigger than that. My career really took off when I started smoking papers.”
The “Black And Yellow” rapper explained that the title also refers to the time when he was able to break away from his previous contract with Warner Bros., and when he decided to stop writing whole verses for his songs down on paper.
